Is Money your master or your tool?

Is money important? Yes of course. In this country, no money = no alot of stuffs! Of course money IS important!

But sometimes, we see the importance of money so much that it has unknowingly to us, become our master..

When I was younger, there was a couple of times where I quarreled with my brother or my mum when they ate the tidbits or drink the drinks that I bought. At that time, my arguement would be that, "You want it, then buy it yourself!" but I realised this.. What is that tidbit or drink compared to relationship with my family? Why cant I share? Isn't food shared taste better? I was so focused on me buying the food than the relationships that are much more important. My focus were all wrong.

Just recently, Roger and Ewan came over to my house, we cooked at my house and really had fun. (Plus that chao da rice of course. That WAS fun alright! haha) Anyway while eating, my family came home. So I went down to buy more drinks up. Out of respect, I asked the two boys to serve my parents drinks. (It's their house after all) Which they did =) love you guys for being so obedient. And then they asked me is it alright? I asked them what is alright?
Then Roger said, is it alright to finish the carton of juice when it was just bought up?
Yes. It is funny to finish the carton of juice immediately after it was bought. But what is finishing the drink compared to earning the respect from my parents?

And guess what? My dad was so happy that they served him drinks! Dunno bout my mom cause she was so tired that she went to sleep. And my bro was glad I guess. Cause he talked to the two boys. So proud of you boys!

Haha and know what's my love language which I like to show people? Yes! It's gifts! Man, if you ever receive a gift from me that is out of your birthday, it's bought with a true heart. Do you know how vexing it is sometimes to have to go around searching for a nice gift? I think that I would enjoy my holidays more if I hadn't have to go around buying back souvenirs, but I really can't bring myself to do it. Cause I always think bout some people when I go overseas. So when I bring back presents for you guys, be glad! Heh!

Ultimately, I think that money is a great tool if used wisely. But always hafta keep in check what is the purpose of using the money and the choice on whether which is more worth. To save or to spend.
